Xiaochen TONG

Attorney Tong Xiaochen has 17 years of experience in intellectual property (IP) law. As a dual-qualified Chinese practicing attorney and patent attorney, he holds the title of Associate Researcher and is recognized as a key talent by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). He has been appointed as a legal expert in the IP expert databases of Hainan Province and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. His practice spans diverse industries, including new energy, advanced materials, biopharmaceuticals, mechanical manufacturing, and medical devices, with extensive experience in patent prosecution, invalidation, and infringement disputes.

Mr. Tong’s career includes 14 years at the CNIPA, where he served in multiple roles such as preliminary examiner, substantive examiner, PCT examiner, and reexamination examiner, reviewing nearly 2,000 patent cases. As a senior mentor, he trained numerous junior patent examiners. He has also led and participated in research projects on patent law, technology, and management.
