Attorney Ha Yakun specializes in patent dispute resolution. Her practice areas include, but are not limited to: domestic and foreign patent invalidation, patent administrative disputes, patent infringement disputes, ownership disputes, intellectual property due diligence, corporate IP counseling, IP guidance for listed companies, patent freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis, patent stability analysis, infringement comparison analysis, and domestic/foreign third-party observations. She is familiar with patent invalidation (retrial, revocation, opposition) proceedings in major jurisdictions such as the United States, Japan, Europe, and Australia, and is experienced in coordinating and managing cross-border invalidation litigation projects.
Prior to entering the IP legal services industry, she worked at the Electrical Invention Examination Department and the Patent Reexamination Board of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), where she was responsible for examining over a thousand patent invalidation cases and participated in the trial defense of more than one hundred patent administrative litigation cases. Many of her cases were selected as bureau-level model cases and/or presentation cases. She has handled multiple significant and high-profile cases with substantial social impact, such as the Baidu v. Sogou invalidation series, Haier v. Microchip Technology invalidation series, Huawei v. Samsung invalidation series, and Alipay invalidation case.
