Shengnan LI

Ms. Shengnan Li previously served at the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB) of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), where she adjudicated thousands of complex cases involving trademark reviews and invalidations. She played a key role in the recognition of numerous well-known trademarks in China, including BMW, New World, Vatti, and Xizhilang, all of which were upheld by the courts.

Known for her innovative and rigorous approach to legal interpretation, Ms. Li has contributed to several landmark cases, such as securing trade name protection for China Southern Airlines and resolving ownership disputes involving time-honored brands like Jude Huatian. She has frequently represented administrative authorities in high-profile court proceedings before the Beijing High People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Court, demonstrating her extensive experience in litigation and courtroom advocacy.

In private practice, Ms. Li focuses on complex trademark ownership disputes, trademark administrative litigation, and infringement actions. She has advised and represented well-known domestic and international clients, including SF Express, Xiaomi, China University of Political Science and Law, Joincare Pharmaceutical Group, Megvii Technology, and the South Korean skincare brand Papa Recipe.
